I am an instruction librarian at a mid-sized public university in Virginia. The transformative power of research (big shouts out to undergraduate research projects!) is what inspired me to pursue librarianship. I am especially interested in critical pedagogy, service learning, hip hop pedagogy, information equity, chronicling hidden histories, advising student organizations, and outreach beyond the library’s walls.

When I’m not working, I try to spend as much time as I can with the love of my life. I’ve also been a DJ for over half my life (Split Crates Radio every Monday 9-midnight on WUVT 90.7fm/www.wuvt.vt.edu; if you need a DJ for your wedding, bbq, divorce party, whatever…I got you!) and that informs how I maneuver through this world of ours.
